Q: Do Su-Man products contain parabens or retinol?

A:  Su-Man does not use retinol or any other potentially harmful ingredients in her skincare range. Instead, the products contain a preservative compliant with strict EU regulations that has undergone rigorous testing to ensure it is safe for use. Paraben preservative is also not used in all products, apart from Refining Facial Polish where it appears in gingko biloba leaf extract in very limited amount which again is compliant with strict EU regulations. All Su-Man’s products also use powerful natural antioxidants in place of harsh chemicals.

Q: Do Su-Man products contain sunscreen?

A: While it offers some protection, sunscreen is heavy, can clog pores and compromises the benefits of other ingredients. Su-Man does not use it in her products, which retain a wonderfully light texture. Many also contain natural ingredients with their own powerful skin protecting properties.

Q: Are Su-Man products tested on animals?

A: Su-Man is against animal testing. She does not test any of her products on animals.

Q: How long should Su-Man products last for?

A: Please refer to the packaging of each product. A symbol usually found on the base of the box shows how long your product will remain fresh once opened. The maximum shelf life of any product by law is 36 months.

Q: Could I have an allergic reaction to any Su-Man products?

A: All Su-Man products are formulated and manufactured following strict guidelines and subjected to rigorous tests to ensure safe and effective results. However, each individual’s skin is unique and reactions are impossible to generalise. To avoid irritation, we recommend consulting the ingredient list for known allergies and performing a patch test of a small amount of product on the inner elbow before use.

Q: Are Su-Man products safe to use during pregnancy?

A: There are no specific contraindications relating to our products being used throughout your pregnancy. If you have any concerns, we recommend that you consult your healthcare practitioner to ensure that the product is suitable for your individual circumstance and for use during your pregnancy.
